AT FAIR TRADER OUR PHILOSOPHY IS THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO COMPROMISE ON DESIGN, FUNCTION OR TASTE TO BE ETHICAL.
We are a community co-operative owned by over 600 members, who want to make a difference to the lives of communities around the world, and to our lives too.
Our little video, like many of the things we do, is the work of unpaid volunteers who want to contribute to helping the poorest people in the world achieve a sustainable, dignified, livelihood. What is so heartening is that many of these volunteers are young, busy, talented people who are not exactly loaded themselves!
Aaron Mwale graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2011, and has since performed in London and regional theatre, as well as appearing in Coronation Street. Aaron still lives in Holmfirth and his Mum is one of our earliest members who helped get the co-operative started. Jonathan Woodward, another Holmfirth lad, graduated with a first class honours in Fine Art from Leeds Met in 2014, and is a budding film maker. Joshua Paxton, graduated BA (Hons) Filmmaking from The Northern Film School in 2014, and is an up and coming cinematographer.
Fair Trader really appreciate the time and effort these talented guys have put into the video and hope you like it. You can view a longer video they have produced and discover more about membership here.
